General Provisions :

All charges due by the aircraft operators
or their representatives shall be
paid prior to take-off.

Charges are due in Maltese Liri and
payment can be made by VISA, Mastercard,
American Express or Multi-Card as
well as in US Dollars and Maltese
Liri in cash.
-
Carriers (or their representatives)
operating to/from Malta on a regular
basis may seek to establish credit
facilities with the Company.
-
Credit will be given at the discretion
of the Company and has to be supported
by a bank guarantee acceptable to
the Company.
- Charges
will be billed every 15 days and settled
within 30 days from date of invoice.
-
Late payment will give the Company
the right to call the guarantee and
to withdraw the credit facilities
forthwith.
The present tariffs come into force
from April 2000.
Landing
Charges
General :
Landing
charges are assessed on the basis of the
maximum permitted
weight authorised by the Certificate of
Airworthiness
(hereby referred to as MTOW).
Standard
Charge :
The standard charge will be assessed in
accordance with the following schedule:
Fixed
wing aircraft :
50%
of standard charge for fixed wing aircraft
of similar weight.
Night
Charge :
In the case of landing and/or take-off
at night, the charges are increased by
25%.
Night
shall be defined as the period between
:
8pm and 5am Local Time............1st
April to 31st October
7pm
& 6am Local Time..........1st November
to 31st March
Rebates
:
A special rate of 25% of the standard
landing fee may be applied for a flight
or flights carried out for the sole purpose
of the training or testing of flying personnel
and/or special equipment in an aircraft.
Prior written application for the granting
of such special rates should be made to
Malta International Airport plc.
Aircraft Parking Charges :
General
:
The
fees for the parking of aircraft are
assessed on the basis of the space occupied
i.e. the product of the span of the
aircraft and its maximum length. The
minimum parking charge is Lm 0.30.
Standard
Charge :
The standard charge for each period
of 24 hours or part thereof of any period
exceeding 6 hours, will be assessed
in accordance with the following schedule:

MTOW
not exceeding 2,500 kgs ~ Lm 0.30
-
MTOW
exceeding 2,500 kgs ~ Lm 0.04 per
10 square metres of space occupied
or part therof.
Passenger
Service Charge
General
:
An aircraft owner or operator (or his
representative) is required to pay Malta
International Airport plc a passenger
service charge for each passenger departing
on an aircraft from Malta International
Airport.
Standard
Charge :
The standard charge for each departing
passenger is Lm6.00.
